Z3LLA’s “Pick Up The Tempo” blends pop vocals with dark techno beats, setting the tone for a sultry live season.
The rising electronic-pop duo Z3LLA have returned with “Pick Up The Tempo,” a track that brings a seductive pulse to their growing Dim Mak discography. Known for balancing high energy with vulnerability, this new release dives into lustful territory over razor-sharp synths and industrial beats.
Z3LLA describe the concept clearly: “‘Pick Up The Tempo’ is a song with pop vocal elements but an infectious darker electronic sound for us. It’s as if Tate McRae made a song for a 2am warehouse rave.”
The duo’s performance of the song live, during Phase 2 of their tour, has already become a signature moment. “Getting to sing it live as the very first live vocals experience at a Z3LLA show was a surreal moment!” they shared. Kicking off in NYC and Cleveland — including a show alongside Galantis — the tour is heading toward fall’s Breakaway Festival.
“Pick Up The Tempo” showcases Z3LLA’s evolving blend of commercial pop appeal with underground club instincts — a formula clearly resonating with fans across platforms and stages alike.
