From Hospital Beds to Headliner Dreams: METAPHYSICAL’s Journey Through Art

METAPHYSICAL METAPHYSICAL

Artist METAPHYSICAL unveils raw reality in music after surviving a coma and reclaiming his health.

Hip-hop artist METAPHYSICAL doesn’t just write lyrics—he writes life. After nearly dying in a 1994 car accident, the California-raised artist (real name Philip Singer) re-entered the world with a new mission: to speak for survivors and give voice to truth.

He survived a month-long coma, learned to walk and talk again, and wrestled with epilepsy and addiction. After choosing medical care and healing through faith, he found purpose in music, blending lyrical depth with old-school soul.

“I haven’t had a seizure in years now,” he says. “I’m blessed to be alive.”

With his Fred Sanford Music Publishing Group, METAPHYSICAL is building a self-sustained future in the arts. His soulful, autobiographical style reflects a man who has walked through darkness—and brought back the light.
