SE SO NEON share “Remember!”—an emotional prelude to their new album “NOW” releasing August 15.

SE SO NEON has officially returned with a project that delves deeper into the emotional and artistic mind of lead singer and producer Soyoon Hwang. Their new album <NOW> drops August 15, preceded by the release of “Remember!”—a track steeped in both personal loss and artistic expression.

The song, co-produced by Jon Nellen and mixed by Nathan Boddy, conveys a sense of raw emotional transformation. The music video, filmed in Seoul and directed by Soyoon, matches the intimate and reflective tone of the song’s message.

“Sadly, there are times when I come to understand myself through the death of others… The way of remembering him is to hold onto this,” Soyoon explains, in reference to the passing of friend and mentor Ryuichi Sakamoto.

<NOW> marks a departure from expectation, with its title inspired by Soyoon’s revelation in New York. After struggling with doubt, the time spent in unfamiliar surroundings helped reignite her passion for music and storytelling.

Soyoon’s guitar work remains central to the project, providing texture and mood that resonate far beyond language. The album draws from the natural world, pulling inspiration from landscapes both physical and emotional.

The band will take their new music on the road this fall, with a North American tour launching September 3. Highlights include shows at The Wiltern in Los Angeles and Brooklyn Steel in New York.
