Moby, BLOND:ISH, and Kiko Franco reimagine “Natural Blues” as a summer-ready house banger.

A fresh take on a beloved classic arrives as Defected Records releases “Natural Blues,” the new collaboration between Moby, BLOND:ISH, and Kiko Franco. What began as a remix concept grew into a full-fledged team-up between the trio, resulting in a rich and textured house track infused with energy and meaning.

BLOND:ISH reveals how it began: “Moby randomly called me… and asks: ‘Wanna remix one of my songs?’… So we laid down two ideas in the studio… one felt special and before we knew it, the remix turned into a collab.”

This spontaneous genesis brought together Moby’s iconic sampling technique with BLOND:ISH’s upbeat electronic layers. Brazilian producer Kiko Franco, who worked remotely from São Paulo, added his percussive touch. “We went through a couple of drafts and I’m really happy with how it turned out,” he says.

The final result blends Moby’s ethereal atmosphere with piano-forward dance elements from BLOND:ISH and rhythmic Afro House grooves from Kiko Franco. “I truly admire her and all I can do is express my gratitude… to work with her and Moby,” adds Franco.

With support from Defected, “Natural Blues” is poised to become a staple at festivals and clubs alike this summer.
