Award-winning singer, songwriter, and producer FINNEAS premieres the official video for “2001”, from his sophomore album For Cryin’ Out Loud! via Interscope Records. The video, directed by Claudia Sulewski, offers a stylized and playful narrative featuring Kate Hudson as a no-nonsense director and FINNEAS as her enamored lead actor.
Paying tribute to Stanley Kubrick’s 2001: A Space Odyssey, the video incorporates iconic visual cues—from fisheye lenses to surreal upside-down sequences.
“When I first started conceptualizing this music video, I knew I wanted to pay homage to 2001: A Space Odyssey… To play off Finneas’s lyrics, I wanted to mix in some light, cheeky moments between Finneas and Kate,” said Sulewski. 
This video follows a landmark year for FINNEAS, including a SOLD-OUT world tour and his acclaimed score for Alfonso Cuarón’s Disclaimer on Apple TV+.
Fans can catch FINNEAS this summer at high-profile festivals in London, Germany, Austria, Italy, Spain, and Belgium, before he returns for U.S. performances at Lollapalooza, Osheaga, and Outside Lands.
