Damian Lazarus explores emotional textures on “Alive,” featuring Bloom Twins and a remix by Nick Morgan.

Damian Lazarus returns with another captivating release in “Alive,” featuring the vocal talents of dark-pop duo Bloom Twins and additional production from Mark Ralph. The track, out now via Crosstown Rebels, expands on the soundscape of Lazarus’ fifth album Magickal, which debuted earlier this year in a surprise drop timed with Day Zero 2025.

With its lush, moody atmosphere and Bloom Twins’ expressive vocals, “Alive” captures a sense of longing, vulnerability, and reflection. Ralph’s contributions offer a nod to Lazarus’ earlier work—having also collaborated on his debut album Smoke The Monster Out—and help anchor the track in both nostalgia and innovation.

Canadian producer Nick Morgan also returns to the Crosstown Rebels roster with a remix that transforms “Alive” into a hypnotic, dancefloor-forward experience. His previous remix of AIRRICA’s “Hi Speed Lover” established him as a unique voice in the label’s orbit, and this new interpretation adds even more dimension to the release.

“Alive” is more than a single—it’s a continuation of Lazarus’ distinct narrative as a label head, producer, and curator. As he bridges electronic and pop through emotive production, he also reaffirms the importance of collaboration in pushing boundaries and evolving the genre.
