Kassi Ashton & Parker McCollum share ‘Sounds Like Something I’d Say,’ a heartfelt country duet from Made From The Dirt: The Blooms, out April 25.
Country singer-songwriter Kassi Ashton teams up with Parker McCollum for “Sounds Like Something I’d Say,” a deeply emotive track exploring regret and reflection. This latest release will appear on Kassi’s upcoming deluxe album, Made From The Dirt: The Blooms, out April 25 via MCA Nashville.
Sharing how the collaboration came together, Kassi recalls:
“Parker is a great friend of mine and I love his voice. The first time I ever heard him sing this song, we were backstage at the Ryman. I knew I had to cut it and that he had to sing it with me.”
Parker adds:
“Kassi has been one of my favorite singers in Nashville for quite some time. I had a demo in my phone of her singing this song for a few years. After begging her to record it for a long time, she finally said she’d do it if I’d sing on it with her. I’m so glad I decided to do it and I hope it hits all the feels when people hear it.”
Following a breakout year, Kassi will soon embark on Jon Pardi’s Honkytonk Hollywood Tour, starting April 25, and perform at Audacy’s Leading Ladies event on April 3 in Brooklyn.
